Stewart Flanagin is a Medicine Man.

Stewart bought Hill Drug Co. 17 years-ago, and the 1930s drug store has continued to be Summerville’s neighborhood pharmacy. After working at Revco (now CVS) for 18 years, Stewart wanted to own his own store. “I was living in the neighborhood already,” he says, “Hill Drug is just five blocks from my house.”  Being a neighborhood pharmacist allows Stewart to be more intimate with customers. “I feel I can help patients more effectively in this environment,” he says. Stewart is a past president of the Summerville Neighborhood Association; he serves on their board of directors, and was a past chairman of the Tour of Homes.

What he liked about wearing a skirt: “It was definitely a different feel, but actually quite cozy.”

What he likes about reading skirt!: “It helps me keep up with what’s going on around town.”
